3rd Annual Ocean Beach Champonships

Next Saturday (October 17th, 2009), Ocean Beach hosts the 3rd Annual San Francisco Pro-Am Beach Soccer Championships.
The tournament, located right below the Cliff House Restaurant (at the end of Point Lobos Ave.) is divided in 3 categories: Men's Open, Co-ed and U19.
Team slots are still available in each category.
The event is organized by former USA Beach Soccer national team coach, Tighe O'Sullivan.
"We are thrilled to put together our 3rd Annual Ocean Beach tournament, where a soccer culture lives, breathes and thrives in the Bay Area" O'Sullivan said. "Together with Setanta Sports [tournament's main sponsor], this event should be fun, exciting and a thrill ride for all involved, players and fans."
The men's open tournament is made of 2 groups of 4 teams. The groups stage starts at 9:15 am. The first two teams of each group qualify for the semi-finals. The final is scheduled at 4:15pm.
