The San Jose Earthquakes announced this morning that Darren Huckerby "had surgery Friday, Sept. 11 to repair a torn labrum in his right hip at Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado."
This will keep it away of the fields until the end of the season...and of his contract.
Darren Huckerby played in 14 games this season, scoring 3 goals and offering 3 assists but he didn't have the same impact as last year when he arrived from Norwich City (England) in the middle of the season and helped the team to almost make the playoffs.
Huckerby's intentions for his future are unknown, but this may be the end of the left midfielder's carreer, at least with the San jose Earthquakes.
